Getting older, not necessarily wiser!
In the last post we created a RAID 5 array from the command line. In this post we are going to do the same thing using the Cockpit GUI for our virtual Debian 12 Server. Because of the number of pictures I was using, I decided to do a video instead of the standard text write up.
In the attached video we walk through setting up a RAID 5 array using the Cockpit GUI. Some will find this more convenient than setting up a RAID, rather than through the command line.
We currently have most of the pieces in place for a actual hardware build. A few final things thing I want to cover before jumping into that, is using a union file system, and using Logical Volume Manager (LVM). So expect to see that in the next couple of posts.
