In this series I embark on the challenge of building a PFSense based router/firewall for load balancing between two ISP’s. It is something I have been putting off for a while, but at this point the need is outweighing other projects that I am working on. One of the first components you are probably going to acquire for your LAN is a router. Most likely this will be an all in one device encompassing the functions of a router, switch and wireless access point. If it comes form your ISP, it may also include a modem. (more…)
