The Basilica of Our Lady Of Peñafrancia is located on the outskirts of Naga City in the Becol region of the Philippines. It is one of the largest Marian pilgrimage sites in Asia. The icon of Our Lady of Peñafrancia is enshrined in this sanctuary. I took this photo in in November of 2022.

This is a picture I took back in 2012 on the island of O‘ahu Hawaii. It is a place called the Valley of the Temples. The structure, Byodo-in Temple, translates to Temple of Equality. The Valley of the Temples is a final resting place for many.

This picture was taken from a ferry just as it was tying up at Port Recondo on the island of Burias in the Philippines in June of 2022. Burias island is only reachable via ferry , as there is no airport. It is part of Bicol.

This is from old photograph I took back in February of 1987 close to McMurdo Station Antarctica. To me it looked more like a alter than a monument. Just a pile of stones someone placed flowers on, and Mount Erebus in the background. I don’t know why it was there or what it represents.
