This is a picture of a flower from the garden at the old Bowie Maryland homestead back in early September of 2009.

This is from old photograph I took back in February of 1987 close to McMurdo Station Antarctica. To me it looked more like a alter than a monument. Just a pile of stones someone placed flowers on, and Mount Erebus in the background. I don’t know why it was there or what it represents.
