This category is somewhat different as it focuses on discussions about the dogma of various de-facto systems of faith.
There are some things I have seen in my travels that have caused me to question much of what I was taught my youth about centralized and organized religion, of any type. I can remember traveling though areas where the inhabitants basically live in huts and each day is just a struggle to survive for so many. Is there any real value in Alter calls? Or are people just kidding themselves. In my opinion, I see no real value in them, and find them to have a somewhat problematic scriptural basis. However, opinions are like certain body orifices, in that every one has one. (more…)
After watching several end time videos and listening to several preacher pontificate about the antichirst, I felt the need to tackle this particular piece of Christian dogma.
Beyond basic doctrinal issue, one of the main reasons I ventured down the non denominational path is my perception of the role of a pastor as expressed in the Bible not being what I am seeing in the modern church. (more…)
